The wilderness of the landscape, the human’s power who, over a thousand years ago, managed to construct all these spectacular buildings, monasteries like castles, skites like villages and arsanades like ports.
During this route, you will be able to be tour guided and see 8 monasteries: Holy Monastery of Dochiariou, H.M. Xenophontos, H.M. Panteleimonos (Russian Monastery), H.M. Xiropotamou, the central port of Mount Athos Daphni, H.M. Simonos Petras, H.M. Grigoriou, H.M. Dionysiou and finally in the shadow of Mountain Athos which towers up to 2033m. H.M. Saint Pavlou.
Subsequently, you will see the New Skite, and Saint Anna’s Skite. -Finally, you may be a witness of the daily shows that dolphins offer to us during our trip.

The vessel “Ioanna” departs at 10:30 from Ouranoupolis to Mount Athos and Ammouliani island cruise. Embarkment starts at 9:30 but it is wise that the visitors board the ship half an hour before departure.
You can get your tickets from our official agencies in Ouranoupoli, from our e-shop or on the vessel. Also, you can call to reserve your seats on the phone 00.30698.610.7451. The tickets are checked during the embarkment. During the summer months June, July and August we propose that you buy your tickets on time, because the number of passengers on each cruise is limited.

Our 3-hour trip starts passing by the last little houses of Ouranoupolis and the borders of Mount Athos which separate the outside world from that of the monastic life. You will also be able to enjoy the beauty of the southwest peninsula of Mount Athos. |In particular, you will admire the unspoilt wilderness of the landscape, the strength of man, who over 1,000 years ago managed to construct all these impressive buildings, monasteries, skites and arsanades(dockyards).

Swimming at the clearest waters + Lunch
While we sail towards our next destination, the island of Ammouliani and the beach Tsaska Banana beach, we hope you will witness the almost daily shows that the dolphins perform on our trips. We will reach the beach in about 1 hour and 50 minutes leaving the last monastery behind us .Our stop takes place at a beach where you can enjoy the sun and the sea in combination with the green lush vegetation of the area. The rhythm of the music and the tasteful decoration will excite you. For the adventurous explorers there is a road which leads to the highest hill of the island, where somebody can see the whole island as if they were flying as well as the entire Mount Athos peninsula with the imposing Mountain Athos towering up to 2033m. In addition, in the largest part of the beach there the waters are shallow, so it is really suitable for little children.
After 2 hours of relaxation, swimming, food and exploration the vessel departs for the small harbor of Ouranoupoli, where you will arrive in 20 minutes. The arrival is due at about 17:00.
